Gyachung Kang is a mountain
in the Khumbu region of the Himalaya, the highest peak between Cho Oyu
(8,201m) and Mount Everest (8,850m).The mountain was first climbed in
1964 by Y. Kato, K. Sakaizawa and Pasang Phutar of a Japanese
expedition.
