Lobuje East peak

Lobuje East peak 6119m is one of the popular trekking peaks in Nepal. Lobuje east peak is an attractive summit and offers various routes for climbing. The normal route for climbing is through South Ridge. Lobuje east peak consists of several small summits and the true summit requires climbing steep snow and ice slopes to the top from the summit ridge. We follow Everest base camp Trekking, route up to Pheriche and then trek to Dughla. The base camp will be set up at 4,950m. near a lake in a rocky hollow at the base of the glaciated South-West Face. The views of Amadablam, Cholaste, Thamserku, Kantega peak and Tawache peak are superb from here. We climb steep stone terraces and snow slopes just below the main glaciers on the South-West Face of Lobuche East. We climb steep snow and ice slopes using fix ropes and get access to the ridge overlooking Lobuje and the Khumbu Glacier where we fix the high camp. We follow the sharp snow ridge to the summit ridge. Then we follow the route to north-west towards the main summit passing several small snow bumps and reach a notch. Then we further climb steep and quite difficult snow slopes to the true summit. The peak can be climbed from East Face by climbing a dark pyramid of slabby rock and join the South Ridge to get to the summit.

Itinerary of Lobuje East Peak 6119m

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
 

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing and prepare for trekking and climbing.
 

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla by flight, you enjoy an exciting flight to Lukla (2860m. Trek to Phakding.   (2622m)
 

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazar (3340m, 10959ft). Sagarmatha National Park has its entrance here and you will have to show your permit. Namche       Bazar is the largest village and the administrative center of the Khumbu region.
 

Day 05: Namche Bazaar Rest or acclimatization day. During this day you can hike to Thame Monastery or Everest view hotel for superb Himalayan views including Everest,Lhotse,Nuptse,Amadablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Kusum khangaru,Khumbila,Tawache peak,Cholaste, Kongde etc.overnight at Namche Bazaar.
 

Day 06: Namche to Tengboche Monastery (3837m, 12589ft). Reach the Dudh Kosi and the village of Phunki Tenga (3,321m, 10896ft) with its water-driven   mills and prayer wheels. This is one of the most memorable sights anywhere in Nepal. Tengboche Monastery is the site of the annual Mani Rumdu festival, held at October and November full moon.
 

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4343m, 14249ft). Descend a steep trail through a damp rhododendron forest to the village of Deboche (3736m, 12258ft), which has a nunnery.Beyond Orsho there is a fork in the trail, take right and cross the small wooden bridge crossing the river.
 

Day 08: Dingboche. Rest day for acclimatization. Visit the ridge with the monastery.
 

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4915m, 16126ft). Leave Dingboche by the steep trail going straight to the shorten on top of the hill. From there a gentle slope goes to Tukla. Relax for 15 minutes near the tea houses and steep to the pass (4755m, 15601ft). Just after the pass are all the monuments from Sherpa and climbers who died on Mount Everest.
 

Day 10: Visit Kala Patthar (5545m, 18193ft) and back to Lobuche. Hike to Gorak Shep. From Gorak Shep, it is about a 1 1/2 -hour steep climb to the top of Kala Pattar.

Day 11: Lobuche to Labuje East Base Camp.
 

Day 12: Labuje base camp to High Camp.
 

Day 13: High camp to Summit Lobuche East and return to Base Camp.
 

Day 14: Labuje base cam to Pangboche (3965m, 13009ft).
 

Day 15: Pangboche to Namche Bazar.
 

Day 16: Namche Bazzarto Lukla
 

Day 17: Lukla to kathmandu by flight and transfer to hotel
 

Day 18: After breakfast, Relaxing or shopping with own activities than in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel
 

Day 19: Transfer to international airport port.
